To ensure the safety and smooth operation of Greengate Academy, we have implemented the following drop-off and pick-up policy:
Supervision and Prompt Collection:
The Academy is not liable for children outside of lesson times. It is essential that Parents or Guardians ensure their child is supervised before the class starts and promptly collected at the designated pick-up time. This helps maintain a secure and disciplined environment outside the premises for all students and nearby residents.
Notification for Late Arrival:
If you anticipate being late for drop-off, please notify the Academy as soon as possible, preferably 15 minutes in advance. Timely communication allows us to make appropriate arrangements and ensure the well-being of your child.
Admission Cut-Off Time:
To minimise disruption to the class, we will only allow children to enter the premises up to 5 minutes after the scheduled starting time of 5 pm. This policy encourages punctuality and ensures that students do not miss out on valuable learning opportunities. Children arriving late will be sent home via contact with the child’s Parent/Guardian.
Late Pick-Up Consequences:
Late pickups create challenges for our teachers, who have their own formal and family commitments after working hours. We kindly request Parents and Guardians to make every effort to collect their child on time. A pattern of late pickups may result in a formal warning letter sent to the parent, emphasising the importance of adhering to pick-up schedules.
Respectful Drop-Off and Pick-Up Etiquette:
We strongly advise parents not to "honk" their horns or obstruct the pavement with their vehicles during drop-off or pick-up. These actions can endanger someone's safety or cause unnecessary inconvenience to others and can be perceived as ill-mannered. Let us prioritise the safety and comfort of all students, Parents, and members of the local residential community.
By adhering to this drop-off and pick-up policy, we can ensure the smooth functioning of Greengate Academy and create a positive and secure learning environment for our students. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in implementing these guidelines.
